Why is breakfast important?
Breakfast is important because it keeps you active and energetic to be ready for a day of school.

What happens if you skip breakfast?
If you skip breakfast, then you won’t be that much active or energetic for the day. You won’t feel well either (you’ll be starving!).

What is your favorite breakfast?
My favorite breakfast is sausage biscuit because you get whole grains, meat and dairy (cheese).

Allie’s Out-of-This-World Omelet on an English Muffin

½ c egg whites

½ c vegetables of your choice (chopped)

1 oz reduced- fat cheese (shredded)

100% whole grain English muffin

Whisk egg whites in lightly-greased, pre-heated skillet. Pour chopped vegetables into egg whites. Cook on medium high heat for 2 minutes, then flip and cook an additional 2 minutes or until both sides are firm. Spread shredded cheese on top of omelet and let it sit in the skillet for 30 seconds- 1 minute until the cheese melts. Then place cooked omelet on 100% whole grain English muffin and enjoy!
