National Preschool Fitness Day is just around the corner on January 31st! Kid-Fit has proclaimed this a day for fitness and fun — and it’s simple for your center to participate too!  It’s easy to get kids moving with some fun and educational activities.

Here are four easy ideas to get you started:

  • 462550149Create BIG ART to help Toddlers and Preschoolers continue their gross motor development, while they have fun!
  • Make some Sudsy Water Bottles for that little ones can use as colorful, fun resistance activities.
  • Make your own scoops for tossing and catching with preschoolers!  They’ll love it!
  • Remember juggling scarves when you were a kid?!  Now have some fun with your children while they learn that movement is fun!

Don’t forget to let your parents know ahead of time that you’re planning to celebrate so they can talk to their children about the benefits of eating healthy and being active. Here’s a Parent Flyer Template that you can use to tell them that you’re promoting healthy lifestyle habits to their children. To find more great ideas for activities, snack ideas and other ways to promote healthy lifestyles, check out the Kid-Fit toolkit. Have fun!!
