Picture1Live Well Omaha Kids wants to share a national campaign from their friends at the Alliance for a Healthier Generation and the Clinton Foundation. While the campaign has come to an end, the message is important and should live on. #GirlsAre empowers girls and women to move and celebrate their athleticism.

Girls today are far less likely than boys to achieve recommended amounts of physical activity. Now is the time to change this!

Live Well Omaha Kids knows that #GirlsAre Bold. Girls try new things to figure out their interests and go for it! This looks different for every girl – whether it’s organizing a neighborhood walk, learning new dance moves in your living room, playing soccer at the park, or joining a sports team at school.

Picture2We need your help in encouraging girls to be active – whatever that looks like. Here are three ways you can get involved in changing the story for the next generation of girls:

  1. Test your knowledge about girls and physical activity.
  2. Get in at least 60 minutes of movement in every day.
  3. Add your adjective to flip the script. Fill in the blank and share the message on Twitter

Schools: Take the #GirlsAre quiz to see how you can best empower girls to live their most active lives.
