Healthy Holiday Harvest: Snack Mix

Our second Healthy Holiday Harvest appetizer recipe for Snack Mix is sure to be a hit for a pre-Thanksgiving dinner snack – or for a snack any other day! Thanks to Toni Kuehneman, MS, RD, LMNT, Cardiac Dietitian, Alegent Creighton Health Heart & Vascular Institute for providing this recipe!

Snack Mix

7 cups Crispix
2 cups Cheerios
1 cup dry roasted unsalted peanuts
1 cup mini pretzels (Synder’s of Hanover for lowest sodium)
½ to 1 tsp. onion powder
½ to 1 tsp. garlic powder
4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
3 Tbsp. peanut oil

Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and mix well.  Spread ingredients in a large baking pan.  Bake at 250 degrees for 60 minutes.  Stir every 15 minutes while baking.  Remove from pan.  Cool.  Store in air tight container.
