2015 Omaha Family Dining WeekNationally, October is Eat Better, Eat Together Month. Live Well Omaha Kids is proud to announce Mayor Jean Stothert has proclaimed next week, October 18 through 24, as the third annual Omaha Family Dining Week.

“Family Dining” means cooking and eating at home together as a family. Studies show that kids who eat at home with their families are more likely to try new foods and eat more nutritious foods, such as whole grains, low-fat dairy, vegetables, fruit and lean meat. Additionally, eating at home saves money – on average, eating three meals a week in, versus out, saves a family of four approximately $2,000 in one year!
